The contest is to try to best personify the way you would feel, the helplessness, or the refusal to give in despite your handicaps. For the prose writers amongst us, a short 350 to 500 words microfiction piece. For the poets, three different poems (or one or two long ones) each can be on the same subject, or you may do multiple ones. Submit all entries to me via a Note linking back to your deviation on your page, please label the note “Contest Submit.” All entries must be received by the 27th.
After I have received all the entries I will write a new journal informing everyone that it is time to vote. We all of us will then send a note to the club, labeled “Vote” with the name of the submission you are voting for. After I’ve tallied all the votes I will write a new journal telling you who the top five were, in no particular order, one more round of voting and then we’ll have our winner.
Okay, good luck to everyone and have fun.

Submitting:
No rules, no guidelines, Just learn from the critique given by your fellow writers and improve as we grow as a group.
1: Send a note, labeled submit, with the address of the deviation you want to submit. Since we can't fave a member's art, this is the next best thing.
2: We'll then save your work, and re-upload it onto the club account, along with original description and credits.
3: You can submit as many pieces as you like!
==============
Editing your work:
1. Send a note, labeled edit, with the address of the edited deviation.
2. We’ll then copy the new edited work and paste it under the original name on the club account.

Guidelines for Critiquing
==============
WHEN IT’S YOUR WORK:
Ask your fellow writers to comment on specific concerns you have.
Make notes --even if you don't immediately agree with what they say.
WHEN SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK:
Try to believe in the possibilities of each piece.
Articulate your response as clearly as you can--it is not enough simply to feel something. Good critique depends on your making conscious and articulate responses.
Tell the writer what you liked, what moved you and what you can still see or feel.
Tell the writer where you lost attention or were confused..
Do not criticize in a way that will make the writer feel stupid or insulted. Be respectful.

I SAY WE TAKE IT FURTHER
WE MUST ELIMINATE THE COMMUNIST THREAT BEFORE IT BECOMES TOO GREAT
Gah, sorry. Yeah, this contest is the next thing on my list to write, after the piece I'm working on. It sounds interesting.
